English Summary/英文概要: Inspiring words can be a gift for any one seeking a more compassionate lifestyle.Vegetarian Food for Thought: Quotations & Inspirations offers pearls of wisdom and inspiration from vegetarians, past and present, as well as some surprising comments on vegetarianism from the unlikeliest of sources. Vegetarianism has existed since the beginning of recorded history. Issues of importance to contemporary vegetarians such as animal welfare, personal health, and the earth’s ecology were discussed and declared by philosophers, poets, scientists and social reformers throughout recorded history. There have always been individuals who have abstained from eating meat, and who have spoken out boldly for their beliefs. The words of these great thinkers call out from the past and mingle with the voices of contemporary vegetarians. This comprehensive collection will reinspire individuals who already live a vegetarian lifestyle as well as reach out to touch those who are just beginning to reflect on their dietary choices.
